Auston Craig receives award in Denver
The Colorado Youth Corps Association honored Auston Craig of Bayfield with a “2013 Corpsmember of the Year” award at the Colorado State Capitol in Denver Feb. 3.
The association honored Craig for his outstanding contributions to the Southwest Conservation Corps-Four Corners Region and for his service that improved our local area. Auston began his first corps experience in 2012. After a successful first summer with the corps, he signed up for the young adult 300-hour AmeriCorps Conservation Crew in 2013.
Southwest Conservation Corps is a signature program of Conservation Legacy.

Jessica Kudelski named to dean’s list
Jessica Kudelski of Pagosa Springs earned a spot on the Loyola Marymount University dean’s list for the Fall 2013 semester.
Students named to the dean’s list have completed 15 semester hours and earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better. Additionally, a student must have completed all of his or her courses and never received an F in any course. The university is located in Los Angeles.
