Local publishes research in magazine
Veniece Fagerlin, of Hesperus, published undergraduate research in the Spring 2014 edition of Metamorphosis.
Fagerlin’s research, titled “High Intensity Interval Training as Means to Reduce Symptoms of Metabolic Syndrome,” was overseen by faculty adviser Carrie Meyer. Fagerlin’s major is Exercise Science – Exercise Physiology Option.
Metamorphosis is part of Council of Public Liberal Arts Colleges’ effort to highlight some of the best recent work in undergraduate research. Each semester, faculty committees at member campuses select two outstanding projects for inclusion in Metamorphosis.
Local students graduate from Gonzaga
These local Gonzaga University students participated in graduation exercises during the commencement ceremony on May 11:
Lorena Hutton of Bayfield graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
Kelsey McLean of Durango graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies.

FLC students participate in symposium
The Fort Lewis College School of Arts and Sciences held its annual Undergraduate Research & Creative Activities Symposium on April 24.
Student participants were selected by their departments to represent the best undergraduate research and performances done at FLC this year. These students presented:

FLC students participate in art exhibit
Fort Lewis College Senior level Art & Design majors displayed their creations in DepARTing, an exhibition designed, curated, and installed by the students.
The display will be in the Main & Exit Galleries of the Art Building through May 30. The works on display show advanced projects in media ranging from graphic design to fine art and textiles.
