The Ignacio Education Association held its annual srping tea on Tuesday, May 9.

The Spring Tea was held on May 9 at Ignacio Elementary School with about 30 people in attendance. Lynn Blakesly was honored for receiving the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher of the Year award. Other educators and support personnel were recognized for their service to the district. The Spring Tea was organized by Vickie Sutton-Gallegos, president of the Ignacio Education Association. IEA committee members provided the refreshments. The group thanked Norma Conley of Double C catering for the delicious carrot cake.
