The League of Women Voters of La Plata County will hold a presentation about local elections from 6 to 7:30 p.m. May 31 at Pine River Library, 395 Bayfield Center Drive, in Bayfield.
La Plata County Clerk and Recorder Tiffany Parker will explain parts of the election cycle, such as registration, primaries, voting and counting votes. Attendees can ask questions and view new voting equipment that will be used this year.
Those who have wondered about the accuracy, validity and safety of elections are encouraged to attend.
