We all sat and watched as two Colorado towns burned to the ground because of downed electrical lines. As we watch the ongoing, multimillion dollar construction of U.S. Highway 550 and the electrical lines/poles moved to “the other side of the street,” I ask myself why have the electrical lines not been put underground? Are we ready for catastrophic fires on the mesa?
