The Elks National Hoop Shoot Free Throw basketball contest will celebrate its 50th anniversary Jan. 15 with a competition at Durango Elks Lodge No. 507 at the St. Columba Catholic School gym, 1801 East Third Ave.
Doors open at 8:30 a.m., and the contest begins at 10 a.m.
This event is for youths who are ages 8 to 13 by April 1.
Boys ages 12 to 13 will use an official size 29½-inch basketball. All other participants may bring a their own regulation size 28½-inch ball.
COVID-19 restrictions include masks, disinfected balls and hand sanitizers.
