A recent Herald article said the city is considering the possibility of installing speed enforcement cameras.
Of much greater importance would be to enforce the illegality of running red lights. I was broadsided by someone who went through a red light resulting in my having to undergo surgery, a lengthy rehabilitation and permanent disability.
Running red lights is much more common and much more lethal than speeding in the City of Durango.
