Gina McCarthy, administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, will give a news conference at 2 p.m. at the La Plata County Fairgrounds in Durango.
The news conference is only open to credentialed news media about the response to the release of wastewater from Gold King Mine.
Otherwise, she will have closed briefings from the command center and closed meetings with local officials.
No public events are scheduled.
On Thursday, McCarthy will visit the response efforts in Farmington.
