The Environmental Protection Agency, in response to citizen request, has extended the public comment period to Aug. 15 on its proposed plan of interim remedial actions for the Bonita Peak Mining District Superfund area, located outside Silverton in San Juan County.
Members of the public are encouraged to submit comments about the proposed plan.
