Episcopal church to hold animal blessing

St. Mark’s Episcopal Church will hold a special outdoor worship service to celebrate the life of St. Francis and God’s gift of creation at 10 a.m. Oct. 1 at Rotary Park, 1565 East Second Ave.

St. Mark’s Episcopal Church will hold a special outdoor worship service to celebrate the life of St. Francis and God’s gift of creation at 10 a.m. Oct. 1 at Rotary Park, 1565 East Second Ave.

Attendees are invited to have their well-controlled pets blessed during the event.

People who attend should also bring a chair or blanket and are invited to enjoy music and a potluck picnic after the blessing. St. Mark’s will provide hot dogs, hamburgers and drinks. The Rev. Debbie Shew will lead the service.
