That’s four thousand, eight hundred and ninety-six. What’s that number? Well, now that half the Epstein files have been released – only seven weeks after they were ordered to be released – we know that is the number of times President Donald J. Trump’s name appears.
What’s shocking about that number is that after seven weeks of the (supposed) Department of Justice’s 24/7 mission to redact Trump’s name, it still appears almost 5,000 times. We can only conclude that without redaction, Trump’s name must have appeared at least 20,000 times.
This shouldn’t surprise anyone, as Epstein and Trump shared a decades-long friendship dating back years. Also no surprise: Elon Musk’s name (formerly the head of DOGE, the Department of Gone Entirely) appears more than a thousand times. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick’s name appears more than 100 times.
Remember, these names have appeared that many times after the massive attempt to redact them. How about we finally start making these individuals accountable?
