Ever-changing weather arrives for Memorial Day

May 23 started a Memorial Day weekend of ever-changing weather, including actual rain, plus some hail, and even snow. These clouds, known to some as 'baby butt' clouds, are a warning of possible severe weather. They appeared over the mountains north of Bayfield around 5 p.m. on May 23. Warm weather arrived in late May and has remained since then, with highs in the upper 70s and 80s forecast through this weekend and next week.
