There was an “anti-vax” movement started several years ago by one Jenny McCarthy. Her only credentials were that she hosted a show on MTV called “Singled Out,” where single people selected each other for “R”- rated reasons. She has no medical background at all.
Somehow this thinking was picked up by some (but not all) of a right-wing bent. Now, we need 100% vaccination of the population with the COVID-19 vaccines, and these people oppose it. They are causing the disease to spread and mutate. Not even 100% of staff at medical facilities like Mercy Hospital are vaccinated.
So laws must be passed to require 100% vaccination of medical staff. Or better yet, 100% of everybody. To neglect this need will only cause further spread and mutation.
