Expect 2-hour delays on Wolf Creek Pass on Dec. 8

A section of Wolf Creek Pass on the west side of the summit will close at 6:30 a.m. Thursday morning to allow Colorado Department of Transportation crews to conduct avalanche-control work. The pass will close at mile point 157, just west of Treasure Falls, to mile point 167, just west of Wolf Creek Ski Area.

Travelers will experience delays on U.S. Highway 160 on the west side of Wolf Creek Pass on Thursday morning.

The pass will close at mile point 157, just west of Treasure Falls, to mile point 167, just west of Wolf Creek Ski Area. The Colorado Department of Transportation will close the pass at 6:30 a.m. to conduct avalanche-control work.

Crews will trigger potential snowslides, and then they will clear the highway. Motorists driving both eastbound and westbound may encounter as much as a two-hour travel delays.

Wolf Creek Pass is expected to be open by 8:30 a.m.
