I’m writing to express my support for Britt Bassett, who is running for re-election to the LPEA Board of Directors. As someone who works full-time in the solar industry out of Durango and who believes that renewable energy must become a priority as our main source of power, I can confidently say that Britt Bassett is who we want on the board.
With a degree in nuclear engineering and his experience working in commercial solar for large agriculture, he also has the technical expertise to assess the complexities of LPEA’s relationship to Tri-State and advise on how we can best adapt to the future, which is expected to bring higher prices on coal and lower rates on wind, solar and hydro.
Please vote for him when you receive your ballot.
