Volunteers for the Bayfield Family Center pack the final backpacks of the year for the Bayfield Kids For Kids program. BK4K, now in its second year, sends backpacks of food home with children in Bayfield Elementary School whose families need assistance.
A typical backpack sent home with children consists of several ready-to-eat items. Last week's bags were bigger than usual to provide some extra food during the two-week break. One volunteer provided a case of peanut butter for this week's backpacks.
Christmas treats were included in the usual healthy options sent home for the week.
