Teton Gravity Research will show its latest ski film “Far Out” at two showing times, 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Durango Arts Center, 802 East Second Ave. Doors open 30 minutes before the shows. The film follows an athlete as he journeys to the Albanian Alps. The show is presented by REI, and tickets are $15. Proceeds benefit Friends of the San Juans avalanche education programs.
There will be prizes from outdoor companies and four different grand prize trips to Alyeska (with heli-skiing at CPG), Crested Butte, Jackson Hole or Ski City (SLC).
