A farewell celebration will be held for Dene Thomas, who was president of Fort Lewis College for the last eight years, from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Secret Garden at the Rochester Hotel, 726 East Second Ave.
Thomas was the first women to be president of the college and achieved several milestones during the time she held the position.
The event is free and open to all.
