Farmers Fresh Market will host its third annual brisket cook-off! The event is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 28. The cookoff includes barbecues meats, traditional sides and music
The menu includes brisket, baby back ribs, and chicken thighs. Roasted corn on the cob, watermelon, ice cream and more also will be featured. Tickets are sold for $1 each and for one sample each.
Public voting for the coveted Peoples Choice Award closes at 1:30 p.m. The awards ceremony is at 2 p.m. with first and second-place wards in each meat category and the over all Peoples Choice Award.
To participate in the cook-off, please stop by the store to request a registration packet. Deadline to register is July 13, or call 563-4400 and request one be emailed to you.
