Farmers market thanks sponsors

Durango Farmers Market would like to offer an enormous thank you to our 2022 sponsors that offered their support to our market. TBK Bank continues to offer both the summer and November market venue for the Durango Farmers Market (Nov. 19 this year, mark your calendars!) and the city of Durango made the Transit Center restroom facilities available for our vendors and customers each market day.

These businesses and organizations have contributed financially: Renewal by Andersen, Environmental Support Services, The Wells Group, Jimmy’s Music Supply, Farmers Insurance, SoCo Solar Energy, Durango Magazine, Roll E Bike, Durango Sustainable Business Guide, Growing Space, Local News Network and Local First. These business sponsorships allow the market to continue to offer our services and all the market supplies needed to operate smoothly and update some needed equipment this year.

This year, our sponsors’ support helped us to:

  • Replace our public address system for music and announcements.
  • Pay a small stipend to our musician.
  • Hire extra support staff.
  • Provide and maintain our benches, trash cans and signage.
  • Offset the cost of using a credit/debit card machine to provide customers with a means of purchasing Farmers Market Bucks.
  • Maintain the canopies we loan to community groups.
  • Support the long-term growth and success of this beloved market and its member vendors.

As an essential business, the Durango Farmers Market is the place to shop for fresh and local produce, meats, eggs, prepared foods and handmade gifts from local artists. The Durango Farmers Market is held in the parking lot of TBK Bank, at 259 W. Ninth St., and takes place each Saturday from the second weekend in May through the last Saturday in October from 8 a.m. to noon (9 a.m. to noon in October).
