Because of its generous donors, the Regional Animal Shelter Foundation is able to pay for the cost of an extra veterinarian and support staff to help perform over 60 spay and neuter surgeries in two days at the Farmington Regional Animal Shelter in celebration of World Spay Day.
This partnership will allow the shelter to do up to 30 more surgeries than average Feb. 25 and 26. Animals being spayed for the public will come off the shelter’s spay and neuter program waiting list that is currently booked out for two months.
Spay and neuter surgeries for the public is one of the services the shelter offers to San Juan County residents. This program provides low cost/no cost surgeries for the public based on household income.
For more information or to have a pet spayed or neutered, call the Farmington Regional Animal Shelter at (505) 599-1098 or go online at www.fmtn.org/AnimalShelter.
