Detectives are still investigating
FARMINGTON – Police detectives are investigating the death of a Farmington man after his body was recovered from the Animas River.
Officers were called to the 800 block of Broadway Boulevard after reports of a man in the water early Wednesday, according to a police department news release. Carlos Atencio, 22, was found dead under the bridge around 7:15 a.m.
The Farmington Police Department is investigating the incident.
