Farmington Public Library hosts thinking money for kids exhibit provided by national grant

Farmington Public Library, 2101 Farmington Ave., in Farmington, will host a traveling exhibition designed to teach children and their families about money, thanks to a competitive national grant from the American Library Association and the FINRA Investor Education Foundation.

Thinking Money for Kids is an interactive exhibit that uses games, activities and a storyline to help children understand what money is, its function in society, money choices and money values, such as fairness, responsibility and charitableness. Farmington Public Library will include additional Thinking Money programs for teens and adults that will enhance the exhibit experience for all ages.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. It will run from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Thursday; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays; and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays through March 19.
