AURORA – A large fire that tore through an apartment complex in suburban Denver, killing one person and forcing residents to jump from windows to escape the flames, has been ruled an arson.
Aurora firefighters responding to the blaze the night of Oct. 29 extricated multiple people from the three-story building. Authorities say 13 people were evaluated by paramedics, including five who were taken to the hospital. One of the victims died the next morning.
Aurora fire officials say about 60 people were displaced by the blaze. Authorities have released photos of a person of interest in the case.
