The data doesn’t support the fossil fuel agenda so they made the LPEA election ugly instead. The oil and gas lobby masquerading as common sense is inciting fear and distorting facts to cover their candidate’s lack of experience. As John Witchel’s wife, that hurts.
John is both qualified and dedicated. He has 15 years of energy finance experience with five years as an LPEA director. In contrast, Lyle McKnight has no experience and has never attended a single LPEA meeting.
This is John: He is a job creator that is 100% data- driven. He is the guy who takes a blank piece of paper and an idea and adds hard work and leadership to create lasting value. He’s started many companies over the years, creating jobs, and mentoring even more entrepreneurs. When successful, he gives back.
Every decision he makes for LPEA, he looks at the data and asks the question, “Does the data show that this will make energy more reliable and more affordable for the members?”
The data shows that locally produced sustainable energy is less expensive. The data shows that there is a vast geothermal resource under our feet that can create real jobs in the region. The data shows that Vallecito Hydro/PRID and members will both benefit from a direct LPEA contract. It’s that simple.
I’ll take the hit when supporters of my husband’s opponent accuse him of skiing powder, mostly because I know he is working hard to ensure powder for future generations.
Please vote for John at lpea.coop/elections.
