The Garden Club will host the Fifth Annual Zucchini Extravaganza from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at Pine River Library, 395 Bayfield Center Drive in Bayfield.
The event will feature a full schedule of zucchini-related activities, including awards for the ugliest, largest, best-carved and best-dressed zucchinis. Bring any extra nonperishable food items to donate to Pine River Shares. Children’s events are planned for all ages. Live music will be provided by Cool Breeze Strummers.
Bring a sweet or savory zucchini or squash dish to share. Free, squash-filled food for all will be available from the Grub Hub and Hong’s Garden.
This is a free, family-friendly event.
