Can anyone tell me with 100 percent guaranteed assurance that smart meters are safe or that they are not an invasion of your privacy? What long-term studies have been done?
Many products on the market that we have been assured are safe by the Food and Drug Administration, the government and “independent research” have been proved not to be safe. When was the last time the government told you the truth?
An entire town in Texas said no to smart meters. An informed, intelligent community said, “No, you are not forcing these on us.” Smart people standing up for what they believe and not just believing what they are told. Hopefully, more people will stand up, speak out and make their voices heard.
My body is my smart meter. It tells me when something is good for me and when something is bad for me. And my body has been telling me that the smart meter La Plata Electric Association installed is bad for me. I have suffered from insomnia, aches, pains, ear pain and other things since the smart meter was installed at my house. I checked out the site, stopsmartmeters.org, and they listed all my symptoms. For those who don’t know, smart meters can cause all kinds of health problems, including cancer.
So I am rejecting my smart meter and telling LPEA that I want my analog meter back and signed the papers to “opt out” even though I never “opted in.” Because of that, LPEA is charging me extra to read my own meter. I can pay $6.67 per month to read my own meter. I don’t have a problem reading my own meter, but I sure do have a problem with LPEA charging me to do it. I didn’t see prices go down since my smart meter was installed, even though LPEA no longer has to pay people to read the meters. Another problem with them is that many times your bill actually goes up.
It’s time to stand up and fight back. You can die fighting or you can die from their “safe” products. It’s your choice.
