The U.S. Forest Service said smoke would be visible from Haviland Lake on Tuesday as a film crew shoots a commercial in the area.
Filming was expected to continue Wednesday, but the commercial was finished Tuesday, a representative with the crew said.
U.S. Forest Service spokesman Devin Wanner said the small film production crew used smoke effects. He said the crew was filming an advertisement for a type of equipment for emergency responders.
Wanner said the film crew did not use any flames or dangerous materials, and there was no risk of starting a wildfire. He said firefighters were on scene as an added precaution.
The crew filmed on both U.S. Forest Service lands and private property. Wanner said a special-use permit to film on national forest lands was obtained by the film crew.
