Fire department hosting food drive to collect peanut butter

Upper Pine Fire will is hosting a peanut butter drive to collect 897 jars of the stuff in May.

Why 897?

"That's the number of calls we ran last year," said Upper Pine Chief Bruce Evans.

"We hope to stock the shelves of our local food banks before school gets out to help kids have a great summer. Our local food banks are looking for all kinds of donations if you are hoping to do more to support our cause."

Please bring new unopened jars of peanut butter to any of these locations:

Administration buidling, 515 Sower Dr., Bayfield, Monday through Friday.

The following locations can accept donations 24/7:

75 S. Clover Dr., Bayfield6891 CR 501, Bayfield80 W. Vallecito Creek, north of the reservoir.
