Fire destroyed an RV on County Road 310 shortly after noon on Saturday.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, and it is unknown if the vehicle was moving when it caught fire near mile marker 2 on Road 310, said Tom Aurnhammer, deputy chief of the Los Pinos Fire District.

Aurnhammer never got the chance to speak with the driver of the vehicle, he said.

No one was harmed in the fire, but the road underneath the motorhome was damaged, he said.

The motorhome was an older model, possibly from the late 1970s, and it has been towed away from the site.
