Water shut down along three blocks
A construction crew with Shelby & Sons Construction of Durango work to cut through pavement across Main Avenue at 13th Street on Tuesday. The crews were fixing water valves and a fire hydrant at the intersection, restricting traffic to a single lane. The work is scheduled maintenance.
Work on a fire hydrant and water valves in the 1200 block of Main Avenue is expected to continue Wednesday.
Traffic will be diverted to single lanes, as it was on Tuesday.
Water was shut off along Main Avenue from 12th Street to 15th Street for several hours Tuesday afternoon, said Eric Andasola with Shelby & Sons Construction, a city contractor.
Crews do not expect to shut off water Wednesday, Andasola said.
