The 558 Fire in the Beaver Meadows area northeast of Bayfield in the San Juan National Forest has grown to 10 acres, according to U.S. Forest Service spokeswoman Dominique Woodham.
A lightning strike on Thursday started the wildfire, and Columbine Ranger District fire crews have been onsite throughout the weekend monitoring the blaze.
The fire continues to smolder and creep with occasional torching.
Although there are no travel or camping restricts in place, the U.S. Forest Service warns visitors to be cautious because fire activity can increase at any time.
Smoke from the fire is minimal, but may be visible from U.S. Highway 160.
The U.S. Forest Service was not available for comment Sunday afternoon.
