Firing may be legal, but it was not right

The Colorado Supreme Court ruled against Brandon Coats last week. He had been fired by Dish Network because he tested positive for marijuana during a random drug test. He uses medical marijuana off the job to control muscle spasms.

Brandon is a quadriplegic who uses a wheelchair. So Dish Network fired him and the court ruled that it had a right to do so.

But that doesn’t mean that it was right to do so.
