The community is invited to attend a special one-hour Thanksgiving Day service at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the First Church of Christ, Scientist, 1166 East Third Ave.
The president’s Thanksgiving proclamation will be read, and there will be short readings from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,” by Mary Baker Eddy.
After the service, members of the congregation are invited to share their gratitude for the presence of good in their lives. Child care for small children will be provided.
