Fishbone, a ska-punk band that influenced rock music in the late 1980s, performs Saturday, Jan. 17 at Sky Ute Casino Resort.
The group formed in 1979 in Los Angeles and plays a fusion of music that defies categorization, according to the group's fans, but the six-member group has been described as playing ska, punk rock, hard rock and soul. Its biggest hit is Everyday Sunshine, which also is the name of a documentary about the band. Live shows have been described as an incredible adventure. Fishbone also plays Jan. 16 at Cervantes' Other Side in Denver.
