FLC Lecture Series topic is climate change

The public is invited to attend the San Juan Basin Archaeological Society monthly meeting which will be held in collaboration with the Life-Long Learning Lecture Series at 7 p.m. Thursday in Noble Hall, Room 130 at Fort Lewis College. Speaker Jim Judge will present: “Confronting Climate Change, Then and Now-Lessons from Chaco.”

Judge, professor emeritus of anthropology at Fort Lewis College and the former director of the Chaco Center of the National Park Service, is a leading expert on the prehistoric cultures of the Southwest. He holds a doctorate from the University of New Mexico, and he is the author of numerous publications on the Chacoan culture.
