The Fort Lewis College men’s golf team recorded a final-round 314 Tuesday to finish eighth in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Men’s Golf Championship at the Golf Club of Estrella in Goodyear, Arizona.
Combined with Monday’s two rounds of 329-310, the Skyhawks finished eighth out of 10 teams.
FLC was led by Michael Thomas (77-75-78), who finished 22nd at 230. Mitchell Donley followed in 33rd at 236 (83-76-77), Joshua Woodworth finished 39th at 242 (86-78-78), Dillon Washburn was 41st at 245 (83-81-81), and Lucas Laudick 49th at 269 (90-86-93).
Western New Mexico University won the team title with an 883, five strokes better than Colorado School of Mines. The Mustangs’ Harry Wetton and the Orediggers’ Nick Berry tied for individual honors at 1-over 217.
