FLC men’s golf leaves Texas in last place

Skyhawks ditch Amarillo for their own comfy confines

The Fort Lewis College men’s golf team finished 16th out of 16 teams at the West Texas A&M University Ryan Palmer Foundation Invite on Tuesday in Amarillo, Texas.

The team shot another 298 in the second round followed by a 296 in the third round.

Bryan Schlichter shot a 219 for the tournament to place 43rd overall.

Colorado School of Mines won the event with a team score of 831.

Mines golfer Michael Lee took the individual title by shooting a 206 across three round and winning three playoff holes.
