FLC offers workforce development courses

Fort Lewis College Continuing Education is initiating a professional development program for managers and employees in conjunction with the La Plata County Economic Development Alliance.

There will be separate training tracks for each group that lead to a certificate upon completion of three periods of work.

“This credential will be a powerful tool in remaining strongly competitive in today’s job market,” said Gigi Baty, the director of continuing education at FLC. “The certificate also will add to one’s portfolio of competencies and strengthen confidence and success for present and future careers.”

Roger Zalneraitis, executive director of the Economic Development Alliance, said the courses will lead to better-educated and more efficient workforces.

Information about the courses, their content, dates and cost is available in the continuing education fall catalog or at www.fortlewis.edu/continuinged.
