FLC Theatre presents poetic tale of The Little Prince

Fort Lewis College Theatre Department is proud to present the production of The Little Prince based on the book by Antoine de Saint Exupery and adapted by Rick Cummins and John Scoullar and directed by Ginny Davis. Six performances begin on Friday, Feb. 19 and run through Saturday, Feb. 27 at the MainStage Theatre on the campus of Fort Lewis College.

The Little Prince is an imaginative story of an unlikely friendship between an aviator who lands in the Sahara Desert and a tiny prince who has fallen from the sky. The Prince tells tales of life and lessons learned among the stars. This classic tale is perfect for the whole family.

"It's a true ensemble piece that is full of enchantment and heart," said Director Ginny Davis. "This is going to be a special treat for families to share together. It's our hope that it will spark many thoughtful discussions."

Antoine de Saint-Exupery, a French writer and pioneering aviator, wrote the novel that inspired the play, which has become one of the best-selling books ever published. FLC Theatre's talented cast under Davis' direction includes Genoa Martin (The Little Prince), Wyatt Grice (The Aviator) Ashley Williford (The Fox), Ryan Torres (The Snake), Izabella Gray (The Rose), Alana Rosler (The Queen), Elaina Allen (The Lamplighters & The Desert Flower), Jennifer Holling (The Geographer), Chris Jahrling (The Conceited Man), and Shaunibah Morfin (The Business Man).

Performances of The Little Prince are Feb. 19, 20, 21, 25, 26 and 27 at the MainStage Theatre, located in Theatre Hall on the campus of Fort Lewis College. All shows start at 7:30 p.m. except for the Sunday performance at 3 p.m.
