The Art & Design Department at Fort Lewis College will host an opening reception of a new exhibition, “Hat On A Hat,” by Trey Duvall, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the gallery. Before the reception will be an artist’s talk from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Both events are free and open to the public.
“Hat On A Hat” will be exhibited from Jan. 23 through Feb. 20. The exhibit explores tautologies, contradictions and absurdities to create an anti-spectacle that shifts emphasis away from the literal objects and operations toward abstract and illogical propositions.
