The San Juan Basin Archaeological Society will host a talk about the 1917-18 flu epidemic at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Center of Southwest Studies at Fort Lewis College.
Charles DiFerdinando, a fifth generation Durango native who has been involved with the La Plata County Historical Society, will discuss the epidemic and how the train connecting Durango and Silverton helped it spread.
