The letter written by Kristen Goens (Herald, Mar. 5) refers to the “health department” as standing to benefit financially from community water fluoridation. San Juan Basin Public Health, the local public health agency serving La Plata and Archuleta counties, receives no financial benefit from community water fluoridation.
