Models in a fashion show exhibiting evening wear designed by Santa Fe designer Orlando Dugi were busy up until the last minute having their hair done, make up applied, and clothes fitted on Saturday night at Fort Lewis College. The show, which was sponsored by the Center of Southwest Studies, featured intricate hand-stitched, hand-beaded evening wear. The Orlando Dug fashion show Saturday night featured hand-made garments with elaborately beaded collars and capes, draped skirts, aristocratic flairs and materials like ostrich feathers, rubies, bobcat fur, silk chiffon, leather and silver. Dugi, a self-taught artist based in Santa Fe, designed evening wear for the show at Fort Lewis College.
