The U.S. Forest Service and Colorado Procurement Technical Assistance Center will hold a procurement fair for small businesses interested in providing services to the Forest Service or any other government agency on Thursday, Jan. 26 at the San Juan Public Lands Center, 15 Burnett Court.
The morning session will be 9:30 a.m.-noon for businesses interested in becoming vendors for construction, facilities maintenance or wildland-firefighting services for the San Juan National Forest.
Attendees will learn about the following topics:
Registering and doing business with the U.S. Forest Service.How to be responsive to solicitations, information about regulations, contracts and the ordering and payment process.How to support firefighting crews by providing meals, copiers, heavy equipment, refrigerated trailers, ice, hardware, showers, toilets, hand-washing stations, and lodging.Information about services and equipment needed to support the agency’s daily operations, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, carpentry, earth moving, and construction.The afternoon session will be from 2 to 4 p.m. for those interested in doing business with any government agency.
Colorado Procurement Technical Assistance Center, a non-profit corporation dedicated to providing no-cost counseling and education to Colorado businesses wishing to sell to the government, will provide assistance in registrations, locating opportunities, proposals and contract performance.
