This community notice about author Bob Baer speaking in Durango comes on behalf of the Executive Committee of the La Plata County Democrats. I want to invite everyone to hear the great author, former CIA agent, and CNN commentator Bob Baer as keynote speaker at the La Plata County Democrats annual Roosevelts Dinner, Friday, May 11, at 5:30 p.m. at the Fort Lewis College Student Union Ballroom.
Bob Baer has been played by George Clooney in the Oscar-winning film “Syriana,” written by Baer. He had an amazing career in the CIA as documented in several of his books available in the Durango Public Library and Maria’s Bookstore, and will update the audience at the dinner with his insights into the KGB’s latest manipulations in our elections and similar efforts in other countries.
There will be a gourmet catered sit-down dinner service, a cash bar, specialty cocktails, silent and live auction and tickets can be purchased on line at laplatadems.org.
