Former Durango resident Elayne Necchi turned 100 years old on Sept. 20.
After Elayne and her late husband, John, married in 1945, they made Durango their home until their later years. They then moved to Castle Rock to be with their daughter Doris and her family. Seven years later, Elayne moved into Evenings Porch in Bayfield.
Elayne’s granddaughter Apryl and two of her children visited Elayne to celebrate, as did Doris, and Elayne’s son, Tom, and his wife, Lorna.
