Speaker Series – Ayla Moore, 4:30 p.m., MainStage Theatre. Have you ever felt like you didn't fit in, like you were different from others? If so, you're not alone – many people feel this way. What if not belonging was actually a good thing? What if it gave you the power to see the world differently, to be more creative and to make a bigger impact? In this talk, Ayla Moore, former FLC Writing Program faculty member and current Center for Teaching & Learning staff member, will explore the power of not belonging in higher education and other realms as well. The Speaker Series allows students at all levels, staff, faculty and the broader Durango community to hear research-related personal stories. The talks last 30 to 40 minutes, followed by Q&A, snacks and conversation.
