A Life-Long Learning lecture, “Sanskrit: The Language of Indian Civilization,” will be offered at 7 p.m. Thursday in Noble Hall, Room 130, at Fort Lewis College, 1000 Rim Drive.
Sanskrit, discovered during the 18th century in Britain, is the classical language of the Indian sub-continent, and dates from the second millennium BC. Bill Malandra, former professor of Sanskrit and pre-Islamic civilizations of India and Iran at University of Minnesota, will give the presentation.
