The fifth annual Pueblo Feast Day will be held Friday in the Student Union Ballroom at Fort Lewis College, 1000 Rim Drive.
The Pueblo Alliance of the Fort Lewis College Native American Center will host the event, titled “Inviting the Rain: Healing Our Communities,” to commemorate the Pueblo Revolt of 1680. The all-day observance, held from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., will feature morning and afternoon workshops, food and dances. Lunch and dinner will be provided by members and families of the FLC Pueblo Alliance.
Also, the alliance will host a free and festive 5K run Saturday in honor of the historic revolt. The race will start at 10 a.m. from Center of Southwest Studies, and the course will take runners through campus and finish back at the starting point.
First- and second-place men and women runners will receive awards. All participants will be entered in a drawing, and the winner will be announced at 11:30 a.m.

The event will come to a close at 1 p.m.
The Pueblo Alliance, a registered student organization at FLC, was created to build student bonds that last for generations. The group is nonexclusive to Pueblo students and is open to all who want to learn about the culture and history of Pueblo people in the Southwest. Its overall goal is to create a familial atmosphere for students who are adjusting to the unfamiliar world around them.
